New Bike & Kiddie Pool

Ladybug was overdue for a bigger bike, so hubby found one that is "like new" on Craigslist for $20!!  She loves it and has been riding it a lot the past few days.  While I was putting the training wheels on Peanut grabbed the screwdriver.  He immediately walked over to our big bike and starting 'fixing' it, clinking the screwdriver on the wheel spokes as if he knew just what to do.  It kept him happy, until I needed the screwdriver....  :)

 

I think it's some kind of rule...after you get wet in the pool, you've got to go play in the sandbox; that way, the sand sticks to you so much better!  

Take My Picture, Mommy

A couple times recently Ladybug has asked me to take her picture, and when I grab the camera she starts standing in different goofy poses.  She thinks it's so cool.  Right away she wants to see the picture.  Here she is, striking some poses.

 

 

 

She kept turning her back to the camera so I told her I wanted to see her face!  :)

Playing With Neighbor Friends on a HOT & HUMID Day

We're getting to know our new neighbors now that it's summertime.  The little girl M is 5 and her brother C is 3 yrs old.  Their parents are very nice.  They're expecting baby # 3 in December.  Ladybug and M became buddies almost instantly.  We recently realized, though, how mischievous (to put it nicely...) M is.  She's not been respectful of some of our play things outside, and has instigated a few situations that caused play time to end....  Ladybug will have to learn to NOT follow along when she knows M is doing something bad, such as ripping off all of the foam covering the poles on the trampoline!!.  Grrrrrrr......  We had to throw it all away because it was all torn up.  Pretty annoying, and pretty hard to believe a kid would come over to a neighbor's house and do something like that.  I actually saw M ripping it off, and at the time I looked over Ladybug was not doing anything...though I have no doubt that she probably did some of it too. 
 

I asked her to model her new dress.  My mom made this dress & a matching purse for her birthday.  It fits great!  I love the colorful material  :-)

Later the same day I snapped this pic of our little man running toward me.  I love his smile!

An Evening With Snuggle Bug

A few days ago we had Snuggle Bug for an evening, while her parents went to a memorial service out of town.  The kids had tons of fun!  It was great having her here. 
She is such a doll  :-)

Playing in Ladybug's room...  Snuggle Bug calls it HER room!  When she want's to go play in there she says "I wanna play in my room".   :-)

(We finally resorted to putting the coffee table right in front of the fireplace, because the raised stone hearth is too much of an "accident waiting to happen" when Ladybug and Peanut are chasing each other around....  We got tired of laying pillows in front of it, and having the kids MOVE the pillows out of their way so they can climb up and jump off....LOL!)

Right in the middle of running around, she just folded herself in half.  She stayed like this for about a minute!  She was just taking a rest :)  So funny and cute...

Ladybug's 4 yr. Birthday Party

One of her favorite gifts...the Rapunzel doll from the movie Tangled.

Getting ready to head outside with lil sis Snuggle Bug.  They both got to stay up really late that night....it was about midnight when the sisters finally had to say goodbye for the evening!

This was taken at around 12:30 AM....after the last people left, she grabbed one of her gifts and started to color.  She was pretty wound up after having so many people over.  She went to bed just fine though!

New Hat #2

No lie - Peanut was messing around, putting this hat on his head in silly ways.  It was too funny.  In this picture it doesn't even look real, but it was on his head and it stayed up there!!  My niece took this pic and the next two.

Haha!  Silly baby.  He makes us laugh so much every day :)
